I have been using this hair spray for several years. It works so well for my fine thin hair. It has a very fine spray that is a must for this type of hair. It holds great and is NOT stiff at all…it is also very brushable! I have tried others and nothing compares to Redken 23 for my type of hair.

The product words as you might expect — it anchors your hair in place. HOWEVER, you have to clean the nozzle and dry it immediately after each use or the nozzle will partially clog. This results in spray going in random directions and a scowl on my face.. Once it’s partially clogged like this, it takes a minute or two scrubbing the nozzle under hot water to make it work properly again.

I have not had the same problem with other versions of this product that offer less hold.

BOTTOM LINE: If you like Redken products and are willing to wash the nozzle immediately after each use, this is the product for you. Otherwise, buy a version with less hold or try another product.
